Photos for Tuesday, 8/4

Gorda to Morrow Bay, CA

Tuesday, 8/4 - 58 miles. Got an early start today. The morning started off with a few significant climbs but then the terrain leveled out. The coastal mountains became much lower and as a result the riding was more level with small roller coaster hills. We saw a variety of unusual sites today. We passed an area where elephant seals were sunning themselves. They were humorous to watch. Some of them would lay on top of other seals. Later we passed a large herd of Zebras. We also passed a guy walking in a costume that looked like a Star Wars character and he was pushing a large cart filled with stuff. The town of Morro Bay has a beautiful harbor with a gigantic rock in the water. It reminded me of the Rock of Gibraltar. We are in a hiker/biker campsite again which is good because this and almost every state park campground we have passed is full. Luckily, Domino's was near the campground and they delivered so that took care of dinner.
